What hours are you open?
We are open Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 to 2:00. We do schedule Saturdays and evenings by appointment only.
|
Do I pay any money up front?
The full session fee is required within one week of booking to reserve your time slot. If the session fee is not received within a week, your time slot will be forfeited and you will need to call to make another appointment.

How far in advance should I book sessions?
It is never too early to book your sessions. We often schedule sessions several months in advance to insure that you get your preferred date and time. During off-peak season, we often have times open for last-minute appointments. Just give us a call and we'll do our best to get you in as quickly as possible.
How do I book newborn sessions in advance?
Unless you know for certain that you are going to deliver on a specific day, it is impossible to schedule newborn sessions in advance. Because it's so important to get them in early, I'll do my very best to squeeze you in within two weeks of getting your call. The best thing to do is to tell me your due date, and then call me as soon as you possibly can after delivery so we can get you on the schedule.
When is the best time to do maternity sessions?
Generally between 32 and 36 weeks, but it's o.k. if you are past 36 weeks. Call sometime during your sixth month to book the sessions.
If we schedule sessions for our child, can we get a family portrait done as well? What about sibling pictures?
Absolutely--depending on the type of sessions you have booked. If you have booked a regular session, your session fee covers up to five immediate family members. I don't set a limit on how many different "groupings" we can do. You can get some pictures of each child individually, then one of them together, the children with Mom or Dad, Mom and Dad alone, the whole family--we are only limited by the attention span of the children. I will suggest that we do the most important pictures first. Then we will move on from there.
Our Children's Portrait Club sessions and Limited Edition sessions are subject to limitations. |
What if our child is sick on picture day?
We are all moms with children so we understand that they tend to get sick at the most inconvenient times. Just call me as soon as possible, preferably 24 hours in advance, and we will reschedule for the next available date. Please don't bring a sick child into the studio. They'll be miserable and you won't be happy with the results.
What if we need to reschedule a second time or if we completely forget our first appointment?
Because I have set that time aside especially for you, if you miss your appointment without 24 hours notice, or if you must reschedule a second time, you will forfeit your session fee and a new one will be required to book another session.
What should we wear?
After we book your session, I'll mail you an information packet which includes clothing suggestions. Please call before your session to discuss the clothing you have selected and feel free to bring several outfits with you. Also, take a few minutes to browse the gallery pages of this website to get an idea of what clothing choices photograph well.
How many proofs will we get to see?
I don't have a set number because it is dependant on many factors, including the number of clothing changes, how many family groupings were done, and the individual temperament of the child. I will take as many pictures as necessary to capture the moment and present you with a nice variety of images.
